Newly crowned Strikeforce LHW champion Gegard Mousasi has not taken kindly to comments made from Brazilian Paulo Filho in this Tatame interview. Filho stated:
“I wanna fight Mousasi and show that with against me is a whole different thing… he doesn’t have my strength, he doesn’t have my level on the ground. He can be a better striker, but he doesn’t have my strength and he’ll go down once and be submitted. He’s well trained, but I don’t think he’s healthy enough to beat me… If he wins, I don’t even want my salary. But I guarantee he’ll be beaten more than he was against (Akihiro) Gono.”
Mousasi pulls no punches in his response to Filho in a video from Fighters.com. Mousasi calls Filho a “little donkey”, claims he is on steroids, and blames Filho’s odd mental state and unwillingness to fight Chael Sonnen was on account that Filho couldn’t “use his magic stuff”.
So, in summary according to Mousasi; Paulo Filho is a little donkey who thinks he’s a horse but is actually a little pony, who “uses magic stuff”.
An indepth video preview of this seasons series of the UFC’s The
Ultimate Fighter. The clip paints an interesting picture for what to expect from the show. Not entirely unexpected, coaches Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and “Sugar” Rashad Evans waste no time in flaunting their unrelenting and merciless trash-talking abilities. Former NFL defensive-end Marcus Jones gets some attention for his towering girth, and Brendan Schaub hardly conceals his contempt towards Kimbo Slice when White introduces him as the “Youtube brawler”.
The season will debut on Spike TV on September 16, 2009, following UFC Fight Night 19.
Dennis Kang has apparently studied the tapes of Dan Henderson obliterating Michael Bisping at UFC 100 back in July. Kang says he’s going to come out and “throw bombs” at Bisping when they fight. Check out this video interview of Kang by MMAbay.co.uk.
That video is full of so much douchery, my nose literally started to bleed after 30 seconds of watching it. Honestly, why even interview Frank? If I played you that video right next to a video of a man performing auto-fellatio, I guarantee, you could not tell the difference.
For those of you who aren’t game enough to watch, I will briefly breakdown the video and summarize just how much of a douche someone can be in a mere 5 minutes. Firstly he starts off by taking a shot at Nogueria for using “excuses” of staph infection about his performance in their fight. The fact is, it wasn’t an excuse, it did happen. Just like the motorbike that Frank’s dumbass fell off a few years ago, in which ironically; he used as an excuse after constantly being pummeled by b-grade fighters. Not to mention, sometime during that period he became retarded. I don’t know if it was the motorbike accident, the b-grade fighters smashing his skull like it was a fat pinata or both.
In evidence of his retardation, Mir then ever so modestly goes on to mention how he would never fight Randy Couture. Why? Because he respects Randy too much and wouldn’t want Couture to have “steel plates” inserted into his body. Because, according to Mir, most of his opponents now have animatronic limbs as result of him being such a badass.
Mir then states that he doesn’t want to fight fighters that he can easily beat, because it would be “pointless”? His next fight is againt Chieck Kongo, a man that has zero ground game. Do the maths on that one.
The pyschobabble continues on about fighting Anderson Silva, his thoughts on Forrest’s performance against the aforementioned and that Fedor should retire. Yes, re-read that; Fedor should retire.
Rumors have been circulating like wildfire that Demian Maia, has quit MMA to take up another sport that isn’t fighting related. Since his crushing KO loss at the hands of Nate Marquardt (see below), photos have been surfacing of Maia practicing and trying out new and other sports.
Fightburger.com, has managed to obtain some of these photos and from what I can tell, Demian is truly trying every avenue and sporting Genre. Let us all hope, Demian comes to his senses, puts the wind-surfing board down and comes back to MMA. Here are the pics (props to the UG):
