Jeff Monson today was orded to serve 90 days of work release while on electronic home monitoring. The punishment is for spray-painting an anarchy symbol, a peace symbol and the words “no poverty” and “no war” on the large columns at the front of the state Capitol and an armed services recruitment center last year. A warrant was issued by a Thurston County Superior Court Judge after police saw pictures of Monson committing the crime in ESPN magazine.The 5 foot 9 heavy weight must work off the $21,894 in restitution ordered by Thurston County Superior Court Judge Gary Tabor also ordered as part of Monson’s sentence.
