The main event may not be well received by many in the mixed martial arts universe, but Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers will be arriving soon and it has had some fire power added to the main event by the addition of some major names. While Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers and the Stirkeforce Middleweight Championship bout between Jake Shields and Jason Miller have been previously confirmed sometime ago for the main event, Strikeforce have now announced two more solid fights for their November card.
The Current Strikeforce Light Heavy Weight Champion Gegard Mousasi returns to fight on American soil after easily defeating then Champion Renato “Babalu” Sobral in August. Mousasi will face off against “The African Assassin” Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou in a non-championship fight; therefore the belt won’t be on the line.
Also added to the main event is a heavy weight bout between Fabricio Werdum and Antonio Silva. Whichever Brazilian leaves the cage victorious, it can be ensured that he will be in contention for a title shot after the winner of Emelianenko vs. Rogers.
Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers will be broadcasted live on CBS on November 7 2009 for the Sears Centre, Illinois.
